As I'm getting closer to my trip I'm having more of those 'What the actual f**k are you doing Rachel?' But then this video popped up on my feed and immediately I am so confident in my decision. It reminded me of another Alan Watts video discussing what I would do if money were no object and my knee jerk reaction to that was see the world and travel...either way see more than Maidenhead (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSyHWMdH9gk). I remember I had this conversation with Dad about the theme tune of Cheers and I said that it made me a little nervous "Where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came. You wanna be where you can see, our troubles are all the same. You wanna be where everybody knows Your name." Holy Hell, NO. I do not want that. But I've done the expected now, I finished my A-Levels, worked (granted I dropped out of uni), bought a flat, lived with my boyfriend and now still working...much like a third Alan Watts video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdqVF7-8wng) so I'm at least spending a year living fully :)
